Bag of Green Beans Recipe


½ lb green beans

1/4 of a garlic clove

½ tsp sea salt

½ tsp lemon juice

Zest from ⅓ of a lemon

1 teaspoon olive oil


  1. Bring a pot of very salty water to a boil. Boil beans for about 8 minutes, or until they’re soft enough to bite but haven’t lost their color.

  2. Remove beans and soak in an ice bath for 1 minute. Remove and let them drain in a colander. 

  3. Combine beans with the salt, olive oil, lemon zest and lemon juice in a large bowl. Grate in the garlic on top. Toss the beans until the salt has dissolved and the beans are shiny. Taste and season as needed.
